Storybook Theatre Society David Mamet said in an interview that Revenge of the Space Pandas is his favorite play he has written! thats pretty cool considering he has written over 35 plays, screenplays, and TV episodes and has been nominated for 2 Oscars and 3 Golden globes!
Storybook Theatre Society Binky Rudich, his friend Viv, and his almost-human sheep Bob tinker with a two-speed clock with the idea that, as Binky says, “Time on Earth moves at the same speed all the time, but there is another speed, a slower speed, and if we could find it everything would stand still on Earth and we would spin off.” And they do...; sending them to the fourth planet in the Goolagong System, ruled by George Topax and guarded by the Space Pandas.

This limited concert run provides an exciting opportunity for StoryBo...ok patrons to enjoy a bold, new musical theatre experience while supporting StoryBook through a unique fundraising effort.
Whitechapel recounts the tale of Jack the Ripper through the personal
stories of his victims. World renowned composer Dave Zabriskie takes you on a melodic journey like no other, weaving a musical continuity through the genre that will leave you breathless. International bestselling author, Jack Whyte, pens some of the most powerful and bone chilling lyrics in modern musical theatre history. A spine tingling take on the Ripper chronicles, Tory Doctor's words tell the untold story. Starring international singing sensation Erin Breen as part of a magnificent ensemble, the Whitechapel experience will have you glued to your seat.
Not intended for young audiences, Whitechapel is a departure from StoryBook's usual program. "We are both excited and grateful to have the opportunity to host the next step in the evolution of Whitechapel. StoryBook is emerging from a challenging fiscal year and want to thank Tory Doctor and the entire team of professional and amateur artists who are donating their time and resources in support of this fundraiser" says George Smith, President of StoryBook Theatre.
Whitechapel will open Thursday February 11th with an invitation for the
audience to join the cast and crew for an Opening Night After Party. Cash bar available.
Show runs February 11th, 12th and 13th 2010.
