The California International Marathon presents the Kaiser Permanente Youth Fitness Program. This free program is designed to help kids learn healthful choices and reduce childhood obesity. This video will show teachers, coaches and parents how the program works.
California International Marathon The MaraFUNrun is now closed, but fear NOT! You can still sign up at the expo or on race morning for a small $5 fee. Remember, anyone 13 or younger can enter and the 2.62 mile run is on Sunday, December 6th at 8AM, Capitol Mall and 8th Street. See you there!

California International Marathon Portapotties are ordered and the CIM continues to lead the world of marathons with a 26:1 portapotty-to-runner ratio in the start area. It's a veritable runner- start-area Nirvana!
California International Marathon More news: the CIM marathon and relay entries closed as of Nov. 11 around 6 p.m. 7,000 regular marathon entries, then 250 charity marathon entries at ($200 each with the entire amount going to CIM beneficiaries: Youth Fitness Programs and the American River Parkway), and 850 relay teams.

California International Marathon The CIM was contacted by Runner's World Magazine last week. They asked us for a bunch of photos and told us the CIM will be featured in an article in the November issue. Wow! Marathon and Beyond did a really cool review of the CIM in their most recent issue. We love the attention!
California International Marathon CIM FB fan numbers are growing and the 2009 CIM entries are going... FAST! So far 45% more runners have signed up for the marathon than signed up at the same time last year. We're nearly half way to the entry cap of 7,000. And get this: 600% (241 teams vs. 41) have signed up for the Relay.
