Camp Arizona- Your Arizona Camping Resource Guide

Bonnie Arena Hansen

Bonnie Arena Hansen I'm looking for a place to camp over the holiday weekend (some place that is not too cold). Perhaps near Tucson? Any suggestions? We have a 26' travel trailer and hookups would be nice.

Gonna be chilly chilly. Always nicer when you have a boat. Good 4wd trails around the lake. There is a neat road that goes behind the dam. there is also a dispersed campground down the same road. Have fun bring lots of blankets and firewood.

You will lke the facility, bathrooms, showers etc. Nice camp spots and cabin rentals for those less pioneer spirited folks. Do a little fishing while you are there, you should enjoy your outing.

wants to let everyone know- if you go to Lava River Caves-(Flag area) DEF make sure you have on proper shoes, thick socks, and pants to cover legs in case of falls. It truly is very slippery in parts. Also bring water to drink- and snacks- and also be sure the 3 recommended light sources have WORKING batteries! If you ...bring pets- as we saw many dogs- pls have shoes on them too! I saw enough bloody paws to turn my tummy
---> love your pet? Keep them safe~ some were limping due to cutting pads of paws. Hope everyone enjoys the hike at least once... =-)

Camp Arizona- Your Arizona Camping Resource Guide I made a smilebox of the Havasupai trip. Everyone should go here at least once in their lifetime. We are lucky that this is so close to Phoenix. The hike in was much easier than I thought it would be.

It was only $85 to hike out. for 3 night it was only $96. and the prices at the store and the restaurant were very reasonable. Basically what you would expect to pay at a diner in Phoenix. The weather was a little warm at night but I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Oh, THAT is a great hike and worth having to sign up for a permit before hand. NO RAIN, NO RAIN! Be CAREFUL with the incoming hurricane moisture.
