Camp Frontier: Mexico - Pico2Playa
An all-inclusive, one-week adventure racing training camp in the coastal mountains of Mexico’s Sierra Madres each March. A simulated expedition from 4300m on Pico Orizaba to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico, including mountain biking, trekking, paddling, ropes, ruins, canyoneering, safety/first aid, altitude, culture and fun!
Camp Frontier
An unforgettable week of adventure sports skill development wrapped up in cultural and social experiences in the southern Sierra Madres, near Veracruz on the Gulf of Mexico. Training and certification in everything for adventure sports: navigation and routefinding, ropework, mountain biking (incl maintenance), trekki...ng, nutrition, transitions, strategy, paddling rafts, duckies and kayaks on flat and whitewater. And of course, a rich cultural experience like no other based in the lively village of Jalcomulco. All of this while exploring the river valleys and mesas of this Mexican adventure playground!

Big news for 2009: we will have Bob Miller, Lawrence Foster, and Trish Westman all with us for both weeks - as well as Jim Coffey and Geoff Langford.
The content of the weeks has changed a bit. The Jalcomul...co week will be very focused on skills training and development as in the past, but the Pico2Playa week will be more about physical training, exploration, teamwork, and prepping for the coming season, and less about formal skills training.
