Camp Nawaka

So some life lessons and values that I attribute to my time at Nawaka -
A love of the outdoors and nature that has brought me lifetime enjoyment of camping. This past year I spent a week on a wilderness canoe trip in the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota. My love of wilderness camping certainly began while at Nawak...a. With that beautiful pond how can someone not love canoeing?
No elbows on the table and don't reach - ask if they'll pass the food. And don't forget please and thank you.
Nawaka was an all girls camp when I was there and it showed me that women and can, and do, do anything.

t has given me lifelong friendships - what a gift!
Finally, I know some really silly songs that I still sing in the car, out of key, and really loud. And I love it!

Ann The sale of Nawaka has left many of us saddened. It is the end the year, the end of the decade, and the end of an era. During this time of annual reflections and resolution setting, I've found myself thinking about all the wonderful gifts Nawaka has given me. I'm sure I'm not alone in this so through Yahoo Groups and F...acebook, I propose we share what about Nawaka we're thankful for and/or how we want to continue the Nawaka spirit into the future.
Camp Nawaka of Camp Fire USA, Eastern Massachusetts On Friday Dec 11th papers were passed on Camp Nawaka. The new owner is a Camp developer who plans to open a private sports camp. The timeframe and development plans have not been released. An official announcement from Camp Fire was mailed and posted on the Larkum List.
