My husband and I stayed at Alessandra before Xmas and had the most wonderful two weeks. This was our first time to Palolem and we could not have chosen a better place to stay than at Alessandra!

We had one of the huts without a bathroom but the communal toilets and showers were kept spotlessly clean. In fact, I couldn't believe how often i saw the staff sweeping the sand and cleaning everywhere. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and I can't praise them enough. The food was fantastic and i don't think i have ever had a more romantic dinner than eating lobster around a bonfire on one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever been to.

I would, and already have, recommend Alessandra and Palolem to anyone. It is the perfect place for backpacker, couples and families with something to do for everyone. Although starting the day watching dolphins, before sunbathing and swimming at the wonderful beach and then drinking cocktails while watching the beautiful sunset was the perfect day for me.

I just wish we had been able to stay longer and we are already planning on another trip next year, this time hopefully bringing our friends and family!

Just arrived back from our annual winter break in South Goa...and stayed in probably the best hut on Palolem beach. Love the whole vibe of Alessandra...the people, the food, the beach views, the sunsets, the coffee slush and the rooms that have probably become the best on Palolem beach.

We were there with our two boys (4 and 2) who just loved it, so much for them to do apart from the obvious beach stuff. Went to the waterfalls, saw elephants, monkeys, dolphins and other local animals and also had a little travel around to see some other local beaches...all very mellow, but could happily while away the days just on Palolem. Plenty of other young kids around, both western and local and the locals just embrace everyone and make you feel more welcome than anywhere else I have ever travelled to.

All that said - if you are up for some parties there are a few going on but not too hectic, which was nice...but you can seek them out if that is what you are after...but if its hectic you are looking for then probably north Goa is more for you.
