I personally am pleased that I was motivated to reach a higher level in producing a demo that will be an excellent contender for whatever. It represents what I'm capable of but who knows could be used elsewhere.

On the other hand it would be great if the CBC contest reached a level that would encourage other Producers and Promoters to copy.... See More
So a little reward to the participants like knowing whether they were in the top 200 would go a long way.

Over 14,000 Entries.
I hope this sends a message to other producers and promoters.
Canada needs more opportunities for our unheard composers and songwriters.
How about film makers they could generate free media attention by sponsoring a contest.
Asking for a theme song for a film or TV series. Makes sense.
This Anthem Challenge has provided an excellent model.
Thanks to CBC Sports.

Apparently, if you have already met Bob Rock in person a little while back and have already got your anthem theme professionally recorded with him in the studio, that means you have officially made it to the semi-finals.

Otherwise, if you haven't, then that means you haven't made it to the semi-finals.

The search not being there is a common problem on the site.. The site was just not ready for this kind of volume. I had sent my link to many people and none could access the site... so I don't know how they can use views or ratings as any kind of yardstick, because it was fatally flawed. They did the best they could under the circumsatnces...

Hi,

I've noted that my songs consistently report a 2.5 star rating, yet I am unable to find them using the ratings pages. I started from top rated and searched over 150 pages until getting to approx. 2.2 stars. Could they have been lost in the shuffle?

In any case, thanks for your hard work!!... See More

Hi Cathy, I checked out your songs too. I like the 2nd one. Good luck. The song is actually my hubby's and his bandmates Tom and Rob. We have a studio in Tottenham, not far from Cookstown where you are.
Thanks.
