Redlands and Gold Coast based instrumental progressive rock/metal
In 2009, out of the pits of near recession, The Cilikis Progressio Project was born. Why instrumental metal?, Because music is an art form that requires skill not if you can dance or sing or can make someone a load of money. Brendan joined Gold Coast band Void where... he met Frank. After a few rehersals and chats, Frank introduced Tyronne into the fold and the three decided to get together and form a band writing and jaming. What came out of the mix was a take on Instrumental Rock and Metal with a progressive feel with a bit of jazz fusion thrown in. The band is comprised of three musicians with over 55 years of music experience combined. The Cilikis Progressio Project is not for everyones ears nor as Mike Portnoy puts it in LTE, "not for music critics of extreme self indulgence or the musically fainthearted" As a band, we all enjoy pushing each others musical abilities to see how far we can go to try and create music that we would like to listen to. If you enjoy your music seriously you will enjoy the work of The Cilikis Progressio Project "After silence, that which comes closest to expressing the inexpressible is music"
