SouthEast Expeditions Day 2 of the Mid-Atlantic Kite Rally started off with a picture perfect Bayside downwinder and continued to evolve into a gorgeous October day on the Shore.

SouthEast Expeditions Mid-Atlantic Kite Rally launches today with 20-25kts of SW Wind. Downwinder Day #1 starts in Cape Charles. If you have Harvest Festival tickets, tote your gear down to the water at Sunset Beach. If not, the gates should open for a sunset session at the Pelican Pub around 5:00.

SouthEast Expeditions Wednesday:
Eastern Shore Harvest Festival
Afternoon Surf Session at Virginia Beach
Widespread Panic live in Portsmouth

Thursday through Sunday we'll be setting up some legendary downwinders on both the Seaside and Bayside as conditions allow. Last year we unveiled some incredible new runs, and we're raising the bar again ...this year with a couple of runs planned that will be "First Descents" so the speak.

Friday night we'll light up the Bonfire by the water at the Reed Farm.

Saturday night we're changing up our traditional movie night. Instead of the Palace Theater, we're taking over Kelly's Pub. We'll have a keg of Slim Chance on tap, kite movies on the flat screen, dinner specials for all kiters and their crews, and a killer band.

Sunday evening we're partnering with an couple of local non-profit organizations to present an alternative energy seminar with experts from both the wind and solar energy industries.

Come play all weekend, party like a rock star, kite like it's your job, and learn something interesting so that you have something meaningful to talk to your boss about on Monday.
