Cape of Good Hope SPCA Biggest SPCA Horse Show helps abused horses

The 13th annual SPCA Horse Show, held at SARDA in Constantia last weekend (October 31 – November 1) raised R65 000 for the SPCA’s dedicated Horse Care Unit (HCU). The unit responds to reports of abused, injured and neglected equines and each week rescues horses, ponies and d...onkeys and nurtures them back to good health at their facility in Grassy Park.

The non-graded multidiscipline horse show, aimed at little league and novice riders attracted over 300 spectators who came to see the competitors take part in the showing and show jumping classes.

A highlight of the event was the parade of rescued horses, which have been lovingly rehabilitated and are now able to compete in horse shows.

On behalf of the Cape of Good Hope SPCA and its Horse Care Unit, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the horse show and supported us on the day.
