Sweet Adelines International is offering a chance for talented female singers to participate in an international singing competition through YouTube.com during the months of July and August 2009. We know there is still an enormous amount of singing talent out there that has yet to be discovered. This is your chance to ...let your voice be heard, so show us what you’ve got for a chance to win up to $1,000.

How To Enter
The contest is simple. Go to http://www.youtube.com/SweetAdelineIntl to view Sweet Adelines International’s 2009 YouTube.com A Cappella Singing Contest Announcement video. Once you have watched the video and read the contest rules create a video where you are performing your best a cappella song. Once your video is complete post a reply to the announcement video and click Upload a Video. Your uploaded contest entry video will automatically enter you into the competition.

Contest Entries
Given that Sweet Adelines International sings a cappella harmony, barbershop style, your voice must not be accompanied by any other instruments or music. Solo and group a cappella performances will be accepted. Winners of the contest will be determined by the videos that earn the highest number of ratings. Contest entries will be accepted between July 20 and August 21. In order to give each entry a fair chance, we will wait until Tuesday, September 8, 2009 to tally the video ratings and the winners will be announced the following week. We encourage all contestants to promote your video to as many family, friends and fans as you need to in order to increase the number of ratings your video receives.

We must be able to contact each contestant through the Youtube.com account or by e-mail to keep you informed of contest updates and information. We ask that you submit a separate email to membership coordinator Ann-Marie Dowling at ann-marie@sweetadelineintl.org, including your name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address and the name of your contest entry video. Please include how you heard about the contest. All contestant contact information will be kept confidential, will only be used by Sweet Adelines International and will not be distributed to a third party.

Prizes
The first place contestant will be awarded a $1,000, Visa gift card, the second place contestant will win a $500 Visa gift card and the third place contestant will win a $250 Visa gift card.
