Carbon TradeEx America
Based on the success of the inaugural Carbon TradeEx America 2009, Koelnmesse Inc. and CMIA today announced that the organizations will once again combine talents to co-sponsor two leading-edge events in 2010.
THE EXECUTIVE CARBON MARKET SUMMIT: COPENHAGEN DEBRIEF
January 19, 2010 at the Mandarin Oriental, Washington D...C
This singular event is designed to assemble the leading carbon market professionals in North America. Influential policy makers, key stakeholders, and global carbon market experts will offer perspectives on the implications of the Copenhagen negotiations outcomes for carbon markets and climate change policy in the United States.
The Carbon Markets Executive Summit will provide both a unique networking opportunity and an executive-level discussion forum on the US carbon markets in a wider international context.
Abyd Karmali, President of CMIA and a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch says: “We expect that the principles likely to be agreed upon in Copenhagen will provide further context for the evolving suite of U.S. domestic climate change policies. One important outcome will be even greater stimulus for the development of low-carbon technologies worldwide, in part through implementation of emissions trading approaches. CMIA member companies believe that it is vital to stay at the forefront of the results and analysis drawn from Copenhagen given the material influence of policy in shaping markets for low-carbon technologies. As such, we are excited to convene this dialogue in January next year in Washington.”Read More
