Since exploding onto the techno scene in 1995, DJ and producer Anthony Child aka Surgeon has been remoulding contemporary techno ever since. His early releases on Downwards caused a ripple of excitement through the techno cognoscenti of the time, leading to more widespread exposure via remix work for Dave Clarke and inclusion on Jeff Mills seminal 'Live At the Liquid Rooms CD'. Having gone on to record seminal albums for the mighty Tresor, as well as the unmissable Counterbalance Eps as the British Murder Boys with Regis, there is no doubting his unique talent.
A hugely in-demand DJ with a work schedule spread across Europe, U.S.A and Japan. Surgon has been a resident at House of God in Birmingham since 1993, having also held a three year residency at Berlin's famous Tresor club. Contemporary sets have been notable for an experimentation with new DJ technologies, breaking out of the standard format of two record decks and a mixer to embrace cutting edge hardware and software solutions, continuing to use techno as a vehicle to carry his artistic message...

Back by dope demand, The Holodeck continues in its time honoured tradition of bringing some of the finest underground electronic and techno artists to South Wales – May's event being no exception.
A fixture of the UK electronic music scene since 1994 and artistic maverick in his own right, Neil Landstrumm has released w...ork on the likes of Peacefrog and Berlins’ mighty Tresor Records, more recently famed for his genre defining basscore grime on arguably the UKs’ greatest electronic label of the moment, Planet Mu.
An artist who always seems to be at the spearhead of experimental, dancehall low frequency electronics with his Scandinavia label. Neil's first album for Mu "Restaurant of Assassins" saw him hijacking varied influences from techno, dubstep, garage and breaks as well as vintage 90s rave. Eccentrically on par with the likes Luke Vibert and U-Zig, he enjoys a strong pedigree within the electronic scene as a pioneer of new styles within techno.
The success of the Ravestep sound has led Neil onto a string of sessions for the BBC as well as relentless live tour dates across the globe. Expect a heavy serving of freshly imported southern-fried krunk, sweet island dancehall all mixed up with the refreshed roots of UK Rave, grime and garage to brew an addictively low frequency elixir which should hopefully shake the Clwb's foundations as residents Owain K & Rob Pike provide support along with newcomer Dave Moxham. A full compliment of beats and breaks will be available in the bar courtesy of Dr Nitrogen, Russ Evora, Dem Bones & Friends.
