The city school board is expected to sign an agreement today with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation that will funnel more than $90 million to Memphis for a plan to change how teachers are hired, placed, evaluated and retained.

I love teaching from the Career Choices book! It is very effective at showing the kids the "Real Life 101" issues they need to know now. We are almost done with the full text and I am beginning to see all the light bulbs go off in their heads about the importance of staying in school, doing well and what it takes to be successful in life.
