Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast Happy New Year to everyone from Carlisle PA! First Night was great - although cold and icy - and we hope to see everyone here again next First Night (and many times in-between!!)
Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast Wow...no sooner have we said farewell to all our Christmas guests, than the new year is almost here... just a few hours. Our guests have all checked in today and will attend the great Carlisle FIRST NIGHT celebration! Wish you were here! Maybe you might plan to come next year. We wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2010! See you then.
Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast We know it's not quite Christmas yet, but we are looking forward to Cabin Fever Month - January! Yes, it is that one month of the year when guests can stay with us for two nights at the price of one. It's a busy month for us so hopefully we will be able to wear off some of the Christmas excesses that I sincerely hope... are on their way! By the way, the quiche below is an all-year-round excess, not just for Christmas!
Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast looks really pretty in the snow. We were supposed to attend a Historical Society "do" today but that got snowed off. Then we got a call from someone whose BMW M3, which as you may kinow are not designed for snow, promptly proved it by spinning out on I-81 and who therefore needed a room for himself, his wife, and the...ir cute 1yr old English Bull Terrier, Cabo. We were happy to oblige!

Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast Full again!. Actually Octobers been a good month with the Fall Carlisle Car Show, and nor Dickinson Homecoming & Parents Weekend! We have a gorgeous Lotus Elise parked out back too, just to brighten the place up!
Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast Dickinson Open Day event for HS Seniors today, so we were totally full last night. Not just with D'son though, one couple celebrating a wedding anniversary, another couple just passing through, and of course our most frequent guest Doctor John! He's up to 333 nights! It's a great life as an innkeeper in Carlisle, PA!!
Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast Well we love recommending places to eat, but two of our guests took it to extremes! They started at Cafe Bruges with Moules Frites then went on to Piatto for dinner! They said we did well with the suggestions and Bruges and Piatto did great with the food!
Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast This weekend we were privileged to host Jay Karen, the President and CEO of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International. Jay was the keynote speaker at our local B&B Association annual picnic event. The Association created a magnificent spread of Greek food, and a great time was had by all!
Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast Corvette Show Weekend and it's raining at the moment. This afternoon looks good though it will be muddy underfoot. We're hoping for the best for this evening's Corvette Parade on Hanover Street. Although THIS time we're going to wear OLD clothes for the traffic direction job we volunteered to do!!!
Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast Dickinson parents and students today from Atlanta GA, Los Angeles CA, Ridgefield CT, Exton PA, Bamako Mali, Mill Valley CA, Loveland OH, New York NY, Roslyn NY, Miami Fl, Scarsdale NY, and Saddle River NJ !! It is SO much fun meeting people and listening to them all at breakfast!
