Water, granite and yellow leaves; the essence of fall in Yosemite. I talk about it quite often but it's really easy to get caught up in the “the big picture” in a place like Yosemite.

I don't usually like to plug products but I'm going to right now. If you've ever heard me talk about image backups you'll know that I'm pretty paranoid about my data. Many photographers that I know, and several of my family members, have all of their images sitting on their hard drive on their computer with no backup. ...The thought of that would keep me awake at night.
A well thought out backup strategy can save you from loosing everything over a hard drive crash, fire or theft. One component of that strategy should be getting a copy of your data to a secondary location. I just recently added Backblaze into my backup strategy and really recommend it. It installs on your computer, it encrypts and uploads all of your data to their servers where it can be retrieved in the event of a crash. It's completely transparent and backs up all of your changes in near real time. $5 a month covers as much data as you can throw at it.
Check it out.
