Caroline Lucas My MEP website has undergone a bit of a facelift! Check out the new style and content here - www.carolinelucasmep.org.uk

Thank you for visiting my website! I have been a Green Party Member of the European Parliament since1999. I sit on the Parliament’s Trade, Environment and Climate Change Committees, as well as being Vice President of the Animal Welfare Intergroup. ...

Great site: attractive, very crisp, very clear: thumbnail categories & comprehensive tabs make things easier to find (& reveals such a colossal workload & output, how does Caroline find time to sleep?!)
A problem: the "Links" tab fails to load any page (error 404).
A question: does the unique absence of "Green Economics" from listed between-category links signify its difference as a "bringing-it-all-together" uber-category? (And its brevity, as being maybe still in preparation?)... Read More
A cheeky suggestion, not knowing the answers: perhaps a great opportunity exists here to cream off (repeat, or provide links to) selected articles, press releases etc from other categories to illustrate related principles of "Green Economics"? or best of all, by more info about the "Green New Deal" for Europe?
Even cheekier, my preference would be a structured list (by principle rather than date) of references to make the bones of "Green Economics" explicit, without using the "Search" function.

I can answer some of these questions! Firstly, we've taken the links page offline for now, in order to meet European Parliament regulations ahead of the election on June 4th. Secondly, the Green Economics section is indeed still in development, and don't worry, it will be filled with relevant Green New Deal-type content :)

Well done. I was telling the public yesterday in Bridlington that that's the sort of thing Green MEPs campaign for!

Many thanks for all the positive messages on this - it really is a fantastic result. Richard, we definitely should have used that line in the press release :)

Caroline Lucas: Finger pointing towards intensive farming is spreading like the H1N1 virus itself; it's time for an urgent inquiry to find out the facts
Louis at 9:51am May 1
I echo LaCattiveria's comments, Caroline. This was just too convenient an outbreak. Almost as convenient as the London bombings after the G8 summit. We had the a situation where the police in London were caught beating people for no reason, one later dying. Amnesty International pressing Barack Obama to prosecute those responsible for sanctioning ... Read Moretorture and other war crimes. Banks robbing us blind. People asking why the USA were shipping white phosphorous out to Israel so they could drop it on innocent men, women and children - The list goes on, and on.
Swine flu is a distraction, designed to keep people in morbid states of panic and therefore reliant on governments, police, bankers and other scum...

Malevolent governments, bio-engineering etc are hardly necessary to account for the excesses of factory farming based on the profit motive: conspiracy theory here is redundant. Responsible governments are at least trying to curb the spread of H1N1. The three best friends of the human/bird/pig flu virus are the profit motive, meat-based diet & lack of concern for animal welfare, and global aviation.
