Jordan Wille I cant seem to find any lightweight mens rowing on your site or here. Is there? If so, what type of program?

Come meet the team and hear what it means to row for Carolina!

Suzanne Hagan wondering of UNC has any kind of summer rowing clinics/programs for HS age? Thanks...
University of North Carolina Men's Crew at 12:28pm May 26
Hi Suzanne, sorry for the slow response. As of right now, the crew does not host any summer clinics for high school rowers. It is something we are hoping to do in the future though. We have even considered hosting a high school regatta in the fall. If you are in Chapel Hill this summer and would like to check out our facilities, then contact novice coach Trent Johnson at tojohnson@gmail.com.

Justin,
The varsity team will be practicing in the erg room at 4pm on the 13th. I will forward along your message to our head coach and I'm sure he would be glad to let you tag along. I think the 13th might be a 2k test actually...those are always fun.

Justin Rau
Hi,
My name is Justin Rau and I'm a junior at the Seven Hills School in Cincinnati, Ohio. I am a coxswaim for the Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club and I have competed at the highest levels of junior rowing (Youth Nationals). I will be on campus Feburary 13th and I was curious if there is I a practice I could attend to see the team?
Thank you very much,
Justin Rau

University of North Carolina Men's Crew Matthew, I just sent you an e-mail, and i will double-check the link on the site as well, thanks for the heads-up!

Matthew Lei I was just wondering how I send this to recruiting b/c the link to the mail on the site isn't working.

Matthew Lei
Hi,
My name is Matthew Lei and I am attending East Greenwich High School, Rhode Island. I have rowed for the past three years at a local boathouse (Narragansett Boat Club in Providence, RI on the Seekonk River). I am currently the captain of the men's four team at my school and I am also a co-founder of the EG Men Crew Team. My unofficial urg time since 2 years ago was a 7:15 for a 2k. Also our team has won first in novice 4 at the Head of the Housatonic, 2nd at Novice 8 at the Head of the Fish and we have competed at the Head of the Textile. Also we've competed at our local NBC Regatta where our mixed 8 came in 3rd with master mixed eights competing. I just love the comradery that comes along with the sport and I just love the water. UNC Chapel Hill is one of my top choices and if I'm accepted I would love to row on the crew team for all four years. Also I'm 5' 9" 150lbs so I'm aiming for light weight 8's or 4's. Thank-you
Sincerely,
Matthew Lei

I am interested in rowing for UNC next year, but I am having trouble getting the e-mail from the recruiting part of the site for the novice coach(that is who it said to e-mail). Can anyone give me his e-mail? If I need to be talking to someone else, who should I be talking to? Also, can I get their contact information? Thanks

Travis Hall
hey joshua,
the team is having an interest meeting on thursday the 21st at 7:30 in Fetzer 109. we will have the coaches present to answer any other questions and go over the tryout procedures. come on out and meet all the guys and we can answer any questions you might have about the sport.
hope to see you there!

Joshua Lee Harwood I would like to try this out. What do I need to know?

University of North Carolina Men's Crew Hyco lake is a little too far from Chapel Hill for Carolina to row over there. I don't know if any high school teams use it or not, but we don't. We practice daily on University Lake in Carrboro, and sometimes out at Jordan Lake on the weekends. We race occasionally on Lake Wheeler or Falls Lake.

learn about the crew and how to become a part of the team!
The UNC Men's Crew will hold two interest meetings this fall, the first of which will be at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 18th. The second will be at 7:30 PM on Thursday, August ...
