In late October of 2007, I returned home from a trip to Romania…a little unsettled

I’ve always been a passionate guy, jumping into things with all I am and pursuing new ventures, however this venture was unique to me for some reason. Over the last decade I have been leading worship & singing some very real & massive things about a very real & massive God. Lots of words - Lots of moments.

But when I returned from Romania, on what I was expecting to be a routine worship leading mission trip, I was stirred in a way I didn’t know how to respond to. Yes we led worship and saw thousands of people gather in a square where once they were under communism and you better believe we proclaimed the greatness of our God via song with everything in us…however… What has been awakened in me is what I saw happening among some people there that I met.
People that had never heard a large number of the songs we did and yet…there lives were singing those songs daily. In reality, their actions and existence were coming together to form a song I was singing, but felt I had not fully heard yet. I am aware there are things going on in our world like injustice, unnecessary loss of life, poverty… But I saw people putting my words…words to songs I have been singing for a while…into motion. Affecting poverty, injustice & loss of unborn children, with their day-to-day mission to change the world…one life at a time. Not by whining or complaining…not by writing an article or a book or more songs…not in their glory or fame, but in answering the call by having a life of purpose and obedience. It has changed me. 2007 was a year that I will look back on forever as a defining moment in my life. So many things happened. My wife and I celebrated our first child. I jumped out on faith as a worship leader, traveling and trusting God for everything…and seeing Him provide in ways only He can!

And then this record…a majority of these songs came after that trip to Romania. He had some unique things He wanted me to experience before launching into this project. And I believe just that, that God has put in us things we will only discover or will only be unlocked in our lives as we step out on faith and experience Him in whole new ways. For me it has been these songs that I believe God has placed in me. And so with these songs, my desire is for us to continue to be a people of action. People whose lives match the lyrics…knowing THAT is our worship!

My hope is that these songs will encourage and inspire you on your journey and keep you aware of the great love our Father has for us. That we would be awake to His spirit’s moving all around us in our every day lives and that we would take action and in doing so see our lives becoming so much more than a song! - CASE (read less)
