Mary Hendrick Whenever I go out to eat, I ask the waiter what gluten-free items they serve. I don't phrase it to get a 'yes' or 'no' answer. I act as if it's normal for them to carry gluten-free food. Am doing this to plant seeds so there is more gluten-free awareness that will eventually become part of our everyday jargon. I al...so make it a point to tell the manager that if they carry or continue to carry g/f items on their menu, that they'll do more business as there are many people who often don't go out to eat because of their restrictive diets. I mention that I'll promote their restaurant to my friends and colleagues as a result of serving g/f food.
Kathy Today while shopping, I found a wonderful magazine called "Living Without". It is a magazine for people with allergies and food sensitivities along with those of us who have to eat gluten free. There is some wonderful sounding recipes too in this magazine which I simply love! It is so expensive purchasing Gluten free... items in the grocery/health food stores so I am hoping to find some good tasting recipes!!! I'm in the process of making a list of good tasting/bad tasting gluten free items.. Hugs to all of you!!

Oh ya and did u know that if the docter tells u that u have cilliack disease the if u get cancer ur not covered. I'm so happy that my preschool teacher told my mom to keep wheat away from me and it helped :)

Celiac Disease - Gluten Free - tips, website, etc HELP - anyone had the problem of your blackberry not letting you into anything (BB messenger, emails, texts, etc) but when you try opening anything it keeps dialing 7's and x's? It's been doing that on my 8120 since New years eve. I've done a battery pull a few times, let the battery drain out, and just kept it out for... a while......it sometimes seems as if it's going to let me into stuff but I can't actually open it.

Mary Hendrick Am so glad this site is here...was diagnosed as gluten-intolerant over a year ago, and in the process of eliminating gluten, dairy, and sugar, have lost over 25# and feel 50% better. Am not out of the woods yet...often, candida and parasites go hand in hand w/gluten intolerance and until one removes sugar, dairy, and ...gluten from their diet, they will continue to have digestive problems. Am starting up a series of gluten-free cooking classes in the Denver metro area for those who are interested in cooking some delicious, allergy-free meals and desserts. having so much trouble finding gluten free items here in Green Bay, WI.
I did find some cookie doughs and other desserts at Woodmans store so
