The Center for Child Protection, a children’s advocacy center, is the first stop for children in Travis County who are suspected victims of sexual abuse, serious physical abuse and for children who have witnessed a violent crime.

The Friends of Christopher Guild will hold a drawing for the 17th Annual Luxury Car Giveaway to help abused children. The top prize will be a 2008 Lexus RX 400h Hybrid Luxury Utility Vehicle (LUV). Tickets are $100 each with only 2,000 available for purchase. The second prize will be a $2,500 H-E-B GiftCard, and third ...prize will be two round-trip airline tickets on Continental Airlines to any destination in the Continental U.S., Canada, or Mexico sponsored by Tramex Travel. Winners must be at least 18 years old and do not have to be present for the drawing. Tickets are on sale beginning September 7th and the drawing will be held December 7, 2008.
