Chad and Amy Carter - Missionaries
This Sunday at Richardson East Church of Christ is a special day for missionaries Chad & Amy Carter.
Chad will give a report on the work during the worship assembly that begins at 10:15 am.
Immediately after his report will be a special collection for pressing financial needs: extra furlogh expenses, a computer that died... and lingering financial difficulties from the burning of the home last year.
Following worship will be a churh potluck lunch that is like no other! This will be an African Experience. Come and engage all five of your senses in learning about life in West Africa. Bring enough food for your family plus one more person.Read More

Chad and Amy Carter - Missionaries Chad Carter speaking at Richardson East Church of Christ this Sunday! Worship begins at 10:15 am. Followed by a special contribution for the Carter's. Be sure to stay for the Pot Luck lunch afterwards. It is an African Experience! Engage all of your senses in learning about life in West Africa. Bring food (doesn't have to be African) for your family plus one person like you would any potluck.
Chad and Amy Carter - Missionaries We are a bit behind on updating pics. We'll gradually get caught up over the next few weeks. Chad is having internet issues and has only been able to send the pics. No captions as of yet.
Chad and Amy Carter - Missionaries Chad reports that for the first time in 30 years rain hit Dano in February totally about 4 inches. Some mnor damage was done to the back wall of the house and has already been repaired. Other than that the house held up very well to this very unexpected rainfall.

The house stuff is moving along. All of the roof is on the first floor, except part of a porch. It is looking so good! They are supposed to start building the interior walls soon. Chad worked with them today, to get the stairs at a comfortable height. H...e did a great job, getting them just right. He did have an adventure though. The scaffolding fell while he was working on a voute. He is pretty scratched up , but other than that he is fine.
Noah was sick with a stomach virus. He is better now, just tired and resting. So far, Benjamin is showing no signs of catching it!
We plan on going to Ouaga on Thursday for a short trip. There is a couple moving away, and selling all of their household goods, so we get first pick. We are excited to see what is there.

January 16, 2009 - I received this note from Chad yesterday:
Praise the Lord!
I spent all day with church leaders from Nyinyime. Tomorrow they are going to start work on 4,000 bricks so that the masons can do some more training after they finish the base structure at our place. The electrician said that Saturday he wil...l come back with a team to start running some of the first stage of cables. We are hoping to move in sometime during the month of March!

January 16, 2009 - We set a goal of $75,000 to rebuild, refurnish, and restock the Carter's home after the devestating fire last November.
As of yesterday, the Carter Fire Fund had received $59,333! We praise God for his bountiful provision. This means enough money has been raised to build and finish the home. We now n...eed the last $15,000 to restore the Carter's clothes, pots & pans, and other possessions.
