Championship Gaming Series
So it looks like the CGS is shutting it's doors. I'll post whatever other news I can get, but it looks like the decision was kept very private until today. A lot of the pros were talking about next season's draft and all just yesterday. Hopefully the CGS will come back with time, but with the economy of today, I guess we won't know until it happens.

Championship Gaming Series The first two weeks of the North America Season were filmed for an online stream at www.thecgs.com (and the videos are still on the site) at the EA campus in Los Angeles, CA. Here are some pictures of the event.
Championship Gaming Series The two UK and two EU teams faced off to decide which of each would qualify for the World Final. Berlin Allianz edged out Stockholm Magnetik and the Birmingham Salvo handily defeated the London Mint. London is still alive after beating Magnetik and will play the third place North American team for a wild card spot in the World Final.

After a 12 game season, the North America teams have been narrowed down to the top 4. Top-seeded 3D.NY will face the fourth-seeded Carolina Core and #2 Dallas Venom will play #3 San Francisco OPTX on Wednesday, July 2nd. The final will be played on Monday, July 7th, where the top team in the North America Region will... be decided. Check it out live at 7 PST / 10 EST both nights on DIRECTV's the 101.
