Kidpower North Carolina Irene van der Zande's Kidpower article about Overcoming the Bystander Effect is just excellent. Kidpower is headquartered in the Bay Area, and Irene is writing in response to the Richmond High School gang rape tragedy.

We at Kidpower are deeply saddened at the brutal sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl who was gang-raped in Richmond, California, while over 20 other teens and adults nearby did nothing to get help. Some even laughed and called others over to watch.

This training empowers adults to become powerful advocates for child safety and abuse prevention. This adult education seminar dovetails with the Kidpower training we provide in separate workshops, working directly with children to teach them skills t...hey can use to safely explore the world.
This particular training is for parents and other adults, caregivers and professionals who work with children. We will be having an adult discussion and we cannot accommodate children at this event.
Cost : $25 for all adults in one family
