I've been baking my own biscuits for over 60 years, I love baking. I also make much of our other bread. But I do buy tortillas, though I had to make those when we lived in MA. I lived for several years growing up in the South, but my parents were mid-western. Now live in Southern CA.

I loved baking biscuits but have to admit in recent years I've been lazy and used the frozen. It is part of the Hispanic culture here to make your own soft tortillas to judge by the amount of masa harina sold in the supermarket.
