The Center for Global Initiatives (CGI) is a catalyst for the innovative work of faculty and students at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Currently the center is focusing on four themes in its programing and funding:
- Peace and Conflict Resolution
- Global Health
- Migration, Citizenship and Identity
- The Globalization of the American South
CGI offers an array of competitive funding opportunities for faculty, graduate and undergraduate students. We are UNC’s institutional host of the Fulbright Program and we offer the innovative REACH Fellowship that supports both research and teaching. We also support curriculum development, field research, international internships, conference participation, pre-dissertation travel, and foreign language training.
