Ashley

Ashley I am from Epsilon ETA, and we are holding a screening of the premiere of "No Impact Man".
I was hoping to send out a blurb about it on the Public Health listserv, but can't find who I should contact. For information on the event, please visit our website and go to the events section.
Thanks so much!

Krystle

Krystle I have a question regarding my transcript status. My transcript status is currently listed as "partially received" by both the admissions office and the department of health policy, although I submitted official transcripts to both. Is it just listed as partially received because I do not graduate until May 2010? Addit...ionally, although they are listed as "partially received" if UNC has all of my other application materials, can I be considered for the early admission?

Hi Krystle! Yes, in this case, the" partially received" indicates that they have your current transcript, which won't be complete until you graduate. The good news is that your application will be considered as meeting the early deadline (assuming, as you indicated, that the rest of your application is complete). Good luck!

Hi Baseer! Assuming that you are applying to a graduate program, meeting the Graduate School's December 15 deadline ensures that you will be considered for all of their scholarships. You may still apply to most of our graduate programs after that date. The deadline depends on the specific degree and department you prefer: http://www.sph.unc.edu/... Ver maishttp://www.sph.unc.edu/prospective_students/deadlines_8509_9013.html. Deadlines range from Dec 15 (doctoral degrees in Maternal and Child Health) to June 1 (executive master's degrees in Health Policy and Management).

Ashley Thomson

Ashley Thomson Hello! I am filling out an application for a scholarship and it asks if my anticipated program is interdisciplinary. I think this program is, but they want to know percentages...They want to know if the program integrates info/concepts from more than 1 discipline. If I am going into the engineering program, what should be my answer?

Typically, when programs are interdisciplinary, they explain how. See if the website for (our?) program says so. Many programs in schools of public health require students to learn and apply concepts from other fields of public health (sometimes called disciplines), such as epidemiology, health policy or health behavior. Good luck!
