Hey Jennifer, which department are you in?

Below is a link to a sample curriculum including core courses, with the SPH required core electives (BIOS, ENVR, EPID) mixed in. This, however; is just a sample, specifically helpful to HPAA students.

I'm still working on my schedule - one person recommended taking EPI 600 and BIOS 600 concurrently to get them over with, another person recommended first years take EPI in the fall, BIOS in the spring - any thoughts?

Alyson, unfortunately UNC Housing does not rent rooms out on such a short term basis; instead, the housing contracts are on the basis of either a semester or a year.

For more information check out this website: http://housing.unc.edu/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=148&Itemid=85

Also, there is no official list of university recommended hostels or hotels; however from personal experience, I recommend beginning your search with the website below.

Feel free to post back with any of your findings as others may find it useful!
Best of luck Alyson, we hope you enjoy the program!

I am coming in from Mongoiia, where I serve as a UN volunteer, for the executive MPH program Aug 11-17 and am looking for a less expensive place to stay than the list of hotels we were given. Are there any hostels in the chapel hill area that someone could give me contact info for or perhaps some dorm rooms that are available for rent for a week?
