Jackie Illuminate

Jackie Illuminate I am looking to purchase a used chariot cougar, cheetah, or cx. My husband and I are having our first child in October and are hoping this will help us stay active! Even though we only have one child now, we would be interested in a double!

Marie Heinzman

Marie Heinzman I bought a Cougar 2 today at an REI Sporting Goods garage sale. Got a FABULOUS deal on it, but it's missing a harness. Anybody have one they want to sell? I thought I'd ask before I order one from the company...

Jill Willis

Jill Willis I have a pre-2003 Chariot double stroller that I purchased, hoping to use it this summer for my newborn and 20 month old, but then found out the infant sling is only designed for 2003 and later models. Any suggestions?

BT Fuller

BT Fuller Does anybody have any suggests for hiking trails in K-Country that are CX2 friendly? I'm looking for decent trails that stay wide enough for the stroller. THANKS!

Gisele Lizee

Gisele Lizee What is better for hiking/walking/biking Chariot Cougar 2 or Chariot Chauffeur 2?

I'm shopping for a used chariot and see lots of Chauffeurs but not so many from the XC series. I have a Cheetah 1 and liked it (used mostly for walking in all sorts of weather). It seems the shape of the XC series is better for walking/hiking/runnning than the shape of the Classic series? But I haven't been able to try out any of the Classic series strollers for walking/jogging. Any comments??

Paula Midori Nieckar

Paula Midori Nieckar Kelly: have you tried http://chariottech.com/home.html ? Maybe there is a video on there for your hitch?

Byron Kraus

Byron Kraus My wife and I bought a cougar 2 and my daughter loves it!!! We have the jogging kit, bike, and stroller attachments. We have taken her on several rides with the bike and she falls asleep on the long rides. We are glad that we invested the money in chariot.

Teresa
Teresa
Me too. The Chariot Cougar 2x is the Best investment I made all year! I love this thing. I can take both my baby boys for a job/walk/stroll with no problems. It's even pretty simple to put away when not in use. Forget the water park. . . all they want to do now is stroll.
Kelly Herbert

Kelly Herbert HELP! i have a new chariot trailer and the hitch that has come with it is different to the one in the manual ???? i cant find any thing on the net to show me how to fit it? can n e 1 help me?

Caroline

Caroline Hi, we have a chariot corsaire XL for our 2 children and it has been a great investment for us. I am planning to travel on a transatlantic flight soon and wondered if anyone has tried to take the corsaire XL as checked luggage or as a 'gateway stroller' I would love to hear whether or not the airlines accept it as a stroller.

Matthew Ransom

Matthew Ransom We are seeking a used bike trailer and hiking kit - if you have one available

Janine Kosowan

Janine Kosowan We just bought the 09 cougar two we have a four yr old and a 3 month old our three month old goes in the baby sling and has since she was 4 weeks old we love it and have made a many miles in it, both kids fit perfectly in it !!

Tricia Thiessen

Tricia Thiessen I just bought a used cabriolet and am wondering about buying a baby supporter. My daughter is almost 6 months and not quite sitting on her own yet, plus she usually falls asleep then flops sideways. Is this a worthwile purchase, or are there any other suggestions?

Thanks

Bcause Isaidso

Bcause Isaidso I just bought a used 2007 cougar2...I have a lo due soon...has anyone used the infant sling at less than 1 month?...like right from the get go??

did I mention I had been coveting a newer chariot for far too long...bought a used 1999 cheetah 1 last summer with jogging wheel and bike attachment...loved it :)

Kelly

Kelly The CX2 is awesome! Ours just arrived today. Can't wait to attach it to the bike & take the kids for a spin :-)

Thomas

Thomas C2X is fantastic. Get one.

Question: is anyone else having problems keeping the rear "storage" bag in its up position? It seems the braces for ours are worn. If we put it "up" before setting out on a stroll, it sometimes falls before we're through. Is there a tightener somewhere? Can't seem to find it.

Rock on.

Amanda Landry

Amanda Landry I've just purchased a used Cougar 2 and am waiting for it to ship. We are currently contemplating our conversion kit options as the unit only came with the stroller wheels. We're expecting a new addition in July so our biggest priority right now is to purchase something that will allow us to use it with the new baby. For those of you with experience using with a NB, would you recommend the sling or bivy and what about the infant supporter? Along with the infant attachment, we'll be buying the jogging kit right away & hope to have the ski kit by the time our East Coast winter returns & the hiking kit for next summer.
Thanks for any info you can pass along! I am so anxious to try this out! The purchase has allowed me to sell my single jogger, double jogger & bike trailer (which funded the purchase & makes for more space in the shed...win-win).

Agree with the above comments. All you need is the infant sling, a wonderful little addition for newborns to lie in. Save your money on the other two.
Tom

Tom To continue the theme of the chariot not fitting...my wife and i have a cougar 2 that we use with the jogging stroller. The metal arms that connect to the versawing are essentially impossible to get out, even after depressing the locking knobs. I've tried lubricating it and yanking with all my power, with no success. Anyone have similar problems or any ideas...?

Andrew
Andrew
You may already be doing this, but make sure you remove the wheel from the arms before trying to remove the arms from the Chariot. The arms are still sticky - but easier to remove - after doing this on our CX-1 and Cougar 2.
Angel

Angel Does anyone has comments about how do they transport it on the car? We have a SUV and we can fit it with out problems on the trunk, but our space is then limited. Any comments? We have a CX2

Angel

Angel Cathy, I bought a CX1 for mothers day for my wife, we then decided to upgrade to a CX2 because we are thinking on having 2 kids (but we just recently had our first), but after some thinking and bringing the Cx2 home, we are going to find out if we can return it and stay with the CX1 instead, because it is pretty bulky for one kid. I installed the Baby Sling with no problem in a 2009 model. After putting it all together, it didn't feet through our front door, that is the main reason why we are thinking on the exchange. Good luck on your decission, if I can't return it maybe I can sell it to you if you are still looking for it.

Erika
Erika
Hey Angel! That's the main reason we bought the CX1. The CX2 is too bulky for just one kid, and they hold their value pretty well so we are thinking that depending of the timming of the second baby we will sell it and buy the CX2 then. Good luck with the exchange ;) By the way do you need any attachements? i.e. bycicle, stroller, or jogging?
Cathy
Cathy
Thanks for your comments Angel. We just took a Cougar2 out for a test drive today and it totally fit through doorways no problem (we plan to keep it in our garage, so no worries about fitting through our front door). We are expecting our 2nd child in August, so we're definitely in for a double model. Keep me posted on your luck exchanging yours!
Cathy Ryan

Cathy Ryan Hi there. We are considering buying a Cougar 2 or maybe CX2 (first time Chariot buyers), and my main concerns are whether the infant sling provides good enough head/neck support for a newborn - from what I've read, people seem happy with the infant slings. Also I'm wondering if there are any problems getting through doorways - regular stuff like the grocery store or Starbucks, etc. I've heard some people say that you have to take a wheel off (mind you it can be done in 2 secs). Any comments?

Tom
Tom
We too have found that the achilles hael of the cx2 is getting it through doorways and into the car. Popping the wheels off is the best solution.
The infant sling worked well for us jogging from 1 month..
Cathy
Cathy
Thank you both. Yes, the wheels pop off SO easily on the Cougar. Thanks for the note on the sling. We're trying to decide between the sling and the bivy.
Niamh Fitzpatrick

Niamh Fitzpatrick Hello, I am looking to buy a used Chariot Chauffeur and have a 3 month old baby. Does anybody know if there is a suitable accessory child seat that will allow me to cycle with the trailer with the 3 month in it?

Thanks

Ashley G. Bailey

Byron Kraus

Byron Kraus Looking at buying a cougar 1 or cougar 2 new or used if anyone has any suggestions. My daughter is 1 year old now and my wife and I are looking at a bike trailer and other accessories.

Julieann

We love the Cougar 1, I balked at buying the stroller wheels as I thought they looked geeky, but OMG they are excellent, I was used to the Bugaboo, but the Chariot is right up there ! We have the bike attachment, the jogging attachment for running and the stroller wheels for me when I walk our blind dog...I needed wheels that move in all directions to accomodate him !! We also use a Maclaren XLR for just running around and quick errands...hope this helps.
Allison Broadstone Bergdoll

Allison Broadstone Bergdoll Can anyone make a recommendation on which accessories I will need for a baby? I plan on purchasing an infant sling but am unsure if the baby supporter and baby bivy are worth ordering as well. Thanks!

Marie-Lynn Monteith

Marie-Lynn Monteith I'm looking for a single or double chariot in or around Montreal, Quebec models 2003 and up so I can add a baby sling. Thank you

Karl MacPhee

Karl MacPhee Curious Question...when I put the 2 baby bivvies in the CX2 they seem to be a bit tight fitting. I am worried that if I pop my newborn twins in there that they may be smothered. Can anyone offer some tips?
