Today I spoke at a Domestic Violence Forum at Kingsborough Community College. I talked about the Brooklyn Family Justice Center. This Center provides domestic violence victims with an array of crucial support services under one roof. Since we opened the Center in 2005, it has helped over 28,000 victims and more than ...5,000 children. The Center brings together 37 different public and private agencies at one location. JAY STREET — Sixteen-year-old Derrion Albert was just a typical high school sophomore walking to the bus stop this summer when a fight between opposing gangs broke out. An innocent bystander, he was drawn into the violence and beaten to death.

Hynes Today I announced the indictment of 13 people charged, in three separate indictments, in a wide-ranging criminal enterprise that included real estate fraud, identity theft, credit card fraud and a conspiracy involving automobile insurance fraud.
