Charles Poliquin Tip 2: Room temperature is critical for growth hormone production during exercise. You will produce two times more GH if the room temperature is 70 degrees F (20 degrees C) vs a room at 50 degrees F. (10 degrees C)

Let’s take the example of a 35-year-old man whose blood pressure is 120/80, which is considered normal for a male of that age. Here is what will happen to this guy’s life expectancy with incremental increases in blood pressure (BP) that are not treated properly:

Charles Poliquin My blog on obesity sure attracted lots of e-mails. The Center for for Disease Control and Prevention published a study last July staiing that the costs of treating obesity- related disease may have climbed as high as $ 147 billion in 2008 - almost 10% of all total U.S. medical costs. Hence, the need to tax junk food e...ven more, as long as they use those revenues to do preventive care!

Vanessa is correct with regards the attempt to downgrade M.E, which appears to be an illness on the increase in the UK. Charles could you post a blog on which supplements would help reverse this increasingly common illness? Happy new year and looking forward to attending more seminars in 2010!

Charles Poliquin Tip of the day: Hydration is the greatest determinant of strength. A drop of 1.5% in water levels translates in drop of 10% your maximal strength. The leaner you are, the worse it is. Make sure you weigh the same or more at the end of your training session. High water levels = more sets & reps= greater changes. Have a great workout.

Charles Poliquin Merry Christmas morning. I hope Santa figured out that you nicer that naughtier and brought you your share of gripping devices, thick barbells. Eleiko plates and the likes. Went off the neo-carbs this morning, starting with Wapiti steak (my all time favorite), a crispy green apple, and the best Dominican coffee. Over t...he last few days, had enough "sucre à la crème" to induce atherosclerosis to a herd of elks!

Hopefully I get my FatGripz and dipping belt for Christmas.. I actually departed from my normal carb-laden breakfast for an Omega-3 omelet and some french pressed Papua New Guinea coffee. Tomorrow it's back to neo-carbs, though, haha
