As an advocate of racial equality and civil rights, Covenant House is proud to join the ACLU of West Virginia and several other prominent organizations in sponsoring a Symposium on Community and Law Enforcement Relations.
Moderated by James Haught of The Charleston Gazette, this symposium will discuss significant issues... such as the overall state of relations betwen communities and law enforcement, law enforcement policy practice, and race relations and racial profiling.
Students, educators, and community members are encouraged to attend on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 6:00pm in Room 131 of the West Virginia State University Student Union. Refreshments will be provided and the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions after the panel discussion.
