Charlotte, NC—Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation invites women to go on a yoga and nature retreat to beautiful Lake Lure in the picturesque mountains of North Carolina October 15-18, 2009. The three day trip will depart from Reedy Creek Nature Center, 2900 Rocky River Road, at 2pm Thursday and return 3pm Sunday.
T...he retreat gives participants the chance to connect with like-minded individuals and explore the restorative effects of yoga and nature through several activities and bonding experiences.
The trip costs $375 and includes:
Transportation by van
Lodging at Yoga Yani Lodge
Meals (excluding Saturday dinner in town)
Daily yoga and meditation classes
Sauna
Guided hikes
Nature journaling
Kayaking
Trip into the town of Lake Lure.

Come explore this enjoyable avenue for bird life. We will watch for mixed flocks of resident songbirds and woodpeckers foraging for insects, seeds and fruit along the edges of the forest. Participants should bring a bag lunch and a water bottle. Binoculars, field guides, and transportation are all included.
