The Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. It is a unique walk/run that brings thousands of participants and volunteers together with one common goa...l, to help eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. On Race day, signs are provided “in memory of” or “in honor of” loved ones for participants to pin on their backs. It is a personal way for individuals to share their stories with others around them. The walk/run begins at 8am and usually all of the morning activities are finished by 11am. We realize in this hectic world that Saturday mornings are very precious to most of us. However, we promise that if you take the time to participate, it is one Saturday morning you will never forget.

Laugh for the Cure was founded by Tammy Greyshock, a dedicated Komen Charlotte volunteer to help end breast cancer forever. The event brings together a fantastic silent auction and a fabulous comedy show. Details of the event for 2008 are forthcoming, and we look forward to seeing you at the show!
