What better place to put your crafting skills into practice than at Monticello, the historic home of Thomas Jefferson, and best of all, Monticello is just a 30 minute drive from Sugar Hollow.You have a choice of 8 different wo...rkshop sessions between December 3rd and 12th to create a festive holiday wreath. The 3-hour workshops will be led by current and former Monticello staff members who will guide and assist you in making a festive creation of all natural materials. After all, Martha Jefferson, Thomas' wife, did not have plastic berries and all-weather red bows to put on her wreaths! The Monticello staff will provide the underpinnings of straw wreath forms, pins, wire, etc. as well as a cornucopia of all natural materials with which to decorate your wreath. Please bring your own hand pruners. The cost of the workshop is $45.All workshops will be held in the Woodland Pavilion at the new Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center and Smith Education Center.
