While producing our documentary Chasing the Shadows, we've been searching for the most haunted places we could find. We've filmed inside numerous locations including old hotels, historic theaters, ancient cemeteries, and a world famous plantation that has a reputation of being one of the most haunted houses in America.

We visited the Myrtles Plantation. Located in St. Francisville, Louisiana, the Myrtles Plantation is considered by many to be one of the most intriguing locations in the world for paranormal activity. For more information, visit http://www.myrtlesplantation.com.

We also traveled to the Stanley Hotel. Located in Estes Park, Colorado, the world renowned Stanley Hotel is best known for being the inspiration to Stephen King's classic horror novel, The Shining. Its remarkable views and architecture coupled with its local ghost tours give guests a stay unlike any other. The Stanley opened its doors in 1909 and is known to be one of the most haunted hotels in America. You can visit the Stanley Hotel's website here!

These are a few of our favorite places, but how about you? Where are your favorite haunted places? What is the most haunted place in the world? Where is the most haunted place in America? Let us know your thoughts! Email or feel free to post here! A full listing of locations we visited while filming for this project can be found here.

Bullhead Entertainment had the distinct pleasure to travel across three continents to bring amazing stories and experiences to Chasing the Shadows. Festivals, castles and villages are a just a few of the places we visited.

The Emma Crawford Festival

In Manitou Springs, Colorado we explore the Emma Crawford Coffin Race festival. Before Emma Crawford died it was her wish to be buried on top of Red Mountain, but her coffin would not stay there for long. Her remains were discovered a few years later after a number of tumultuous rainstorms washed her coffin out of the mountain back down towards the town. Every October, a coffin race festival is held in commemoration of her.

Bardi Castle

Crossing the ocean to visit Italy, Chasing the Shadows explored the legendary medieval Bardi Castle and paid a visit to a research lab dedicated to the study of paranormal phenomena.

Benin, Africa

Continuing our search for the paranormal we headed to the birthplace of Voodoo, Benin, Africa. Our cameras captured sacred spiritual ceremonies, animal sacrifices, and possession rituals rarely seen in Western media.
