Hargrave Military Academy Several Catholic cadets, who attend St. Victoria Catholic Church while at Hargrave, help move huge stones to make way for an expansion of the church's handicap parking lot. The boys are taken to mass by Capt. Sanzone.

Hargrave Military Academy Halloween has hit Hargrave and everyone is loving it. Every year members of the Hargrave family put themselves up for a "costume auction". Students bid on these adults to have the privilege of telling them what they must dress as for Halloween. Once bids are placed and costumes approved, the day comes to wear the costumes. Today was the day. We are definitely a funny lot!!

Where the heck did all these female teachers come from? When we were there we had like 2 and ms Nutter was gone by mid-year I think. For reasons that may be obvious. '88

Lots of male teachers as well, they are just not as brave as the females during Halloween.

Hargrave Military Academy Hargrave is alive with color. I could not resist sharing our beautiful campus with you. I wonder if the tree behind our centennial banner is as old as the school? Enjoy!!

Actually being there to the school and seeing the colors of the leaves is actually better in person than on a computer.

Hargrave Military Academy Check this out!! Mr. Bill Blair from Danville happened upon this postcard and gave it to Brad Broskie, Alumni Director. It was sent in 1912 when we were Chatham Training School. The C.T.S. banner is actually felt and glued on the front. It was from Harvie, not sure if he was a student. Anyone that might have some information, would love to hear from you. My how postage has gone up, one cent back in the day!!

Might actually be one of my relatives. If my grandmother was living she would probably know. It could be Judson Harvie (Harvey) Harper but I don't know if he would have been the right age - check your old Oracle yearbooks. I bet you find something. I have my great grandmother's CTS mother's pin. I wore it a few years ago to homecoming. Nobody noticed...

Hargrave Military Academy Hargrave's Boy Scouts this past Saturday scaled to the top of the 4,004 foot summit of Flat Top Mountain at the Peaks of Otter. Despite the, at times, heavy rain downpour and cloud cover at the top, the boys still got to enjoy the fall colors all around them. I think we will always return to Hargrave, if not in body then in spirit. It was a simpler time, right and wrong were not seen through the haze of and confusion of life. When meeting a fellow Alumni it is as though you are picking up where you had left off, time is of no concern to the friendships that were forged ther...e. I can think of no other experience as unique as HMA What other High School can boast that their grads return year after year even in their non-reunion years? HMA is a special place where, no matter how many years pass, or the toll that time takes upon us all, there at Hargrave we are forever young; when we walk the campus it is as though our entire lives are ahead of us and not behind. HMA is a magical place to those that went their, and the memories of it are never far away. Even 20-some years later, I can not help but return to Hargrave in my thoughts and dreams. It does serve as an anchor to the tempest that life throws our way.
