IT'S THANKSGIVING BREAK!!! These words echoed though the halls today as the last bell for classes rang. Happy students and parents loaded their cadets in their cars and are headed home for a much deserved break. TAC's gave students last minute instructs to be smart and stay safe, and all students had big smiles! See yo...u all in nine days, and we are thankful to parents for sharing your sons with us. God's Blessings to all.Read More

Hargrave Military Academy As our Cadets gathered for our annual Thanksgiving dinner excitement was in the air. Not only did the students enjoy fellowship with each other, but faculty and staff members joined them as well. The foods was wonderful and of course the main conversation centered on the Thanksgiving break that will begin today.

Hargrave Military Academy This week was International Education Week. Hargrave celebrated with fun, food and entertainment. A performance displaying our international students talents took place. Cadets were treated to singing, piano talents and humorous skits. Students from Korea, China, Belize, Mexico and Vietnam performed while other international students were involved in the back stage management. An excellent job by all!!

David Whitten Best wishes to all in the Class of 1966.

I think we will always return to Hargrave, if not in body then in spirit. It was a simpler time, right and wrong were not seen through the haze of and confusion of life. When meeting a fellow Alumni it is as though you are picking up where you had left off, time is of no concern to the friendships that were forged ther...e. I can think of no other experience as unique as HMA What other High School can boast that their grads return year after year even in their non-reunion years? HMA is a special place where, no matter how many years pass, or the toll that time takes upon us all, there at Hargrave we are forever young; when we walk the campus it is as though our entire lives are ahead of us and not behind. HMA is a magical place to those that went their, and the memories of it are never far away. Even 20-some years later, I can not help but return to Hargrave in my thoughts and dreams. It does serve as an anchor to the tempest that life throws our way.

April First day of Parent's Weekend was great! We were welcomed by everyone and really enjoyed seeing everyone there. This was our first event at Hargrave, other than Matriculation, and it just couldn't have gone smoother for us. Thanks to everyone who makes it run so well.

I don't know how many staffers and alumni are aware that there is a huge facebook following of alumni from the '88, '89,'90. Classes of HMA. Alex Martenco and Jessie Thompson Broskie have done an incredible job of administrating a FB home for all the "Family" check out our FB page or just friend me and look at all the ...HMA alum on my friends list. There are probably a hundred and most of us are active daily on FB. That's a pretty strong showing for what is essentially 2 graduating classes. The bonds we formed at Hargrave will last a lifetime. We still to trhis day communicate as if the past 20 years were just last week. So powerful were the relationships formed at hargrave.
