You buy used textbooks, and they have a little sticker on the spine that says "USED". When you try to sell it back to the bookstore, they won't take it because they want to buyback textbooks that were only used once.

That's not true. I work at a campus bookstore and we always buy books with used stickers. We buy based on condition, not on a sticker. If you're going to post things about bookstores, get your facts right.

Most bookstores will only buy back your book if your class is offered next semester. Most classes are not offered every semester in college, so most bookstores are misleading you when they say this.
