Cherokee Nation

I am a direct descendant of the brother of Chief Joseph Vann who built a brick mansion in Georgia. It is called Vann House and is now the Georgia State Museum. I, too, am Cherokee. I lived less than a mile from capital on Hwy. 225 for over 30 years. As a child my brother and I found some old pottery but have lost track of it. My grandpa lived in that area most of his life and had a cave in back yard which went to river and onto capital. he had it filled in so the grandkids wouldn't get lost or worse. "Cherokee People, Cherokee Tribe...so proud to live...so proud to die."
