note that Qg8 defends Nxe6 ++, QxNb8 allows black the d7 escape square. This is a case of removing the defenders. 1.Be8 if KxB, then black helpmates by removing Luft, 2.Qc8++. Or 1... QxBe8 (helpmate by removal of defense for e6 and blocking a Luft square) 2.Ne6++. Or 1....N any, (removing the defense of d7, Qd7++. Or if 1.... QxNg5 or e5 2.QxNb8++. Its funny to hang a piece on the 8th rank as the start of a mating net!

1.g7 Ra8 2.Nf8 Ra2+ 3.Kf3 Rf2+ 4.K:e3 Rg2 5.c7 K:c7 6.Kf3 Rg1 7.Kf2 Rg4 8.Kf3

Not sure about 3. ... e2, but it seems that then 4.g8=Q e1=Q 5. Qf8+ should be enough for making a draw.

Ignore the second part of my previous comment:) I forgot that N is already on f8, so 3. ... e2? 4.g8=Q e1=Q, then simple 5. Q:a2
