Sanctum Youth
Sanctum Youth Video and pics from the prayer fast that some of us took part in with the Youth Council of Derby Diocese.

The Youth Council plan and run one or two diocesan youth events each year. Below are some brief details of events that we have run in the past. If you have been to any of these events it would be great to hear your feedback, please email us on ddyc@hotmail.co.uk
Sanctum Youth The film is basically a pastiche of the primary school nativity. We've been a bit silly (but please don't ever expect anything other then silly from us!) however, it does have a serious side, that in which in reminds us of the saviours birth, one of the defining events that changed the world forever.

Sanctum Youth The video aims to point out the foolishness in worshiping ourselves, something that is all to common in the 21st Century. Whilst the video is funny and we hope it will make you laugh we also hope that it will encourage you to reflect on your worship of the Lord.

Sanctum Youth The video very much portrays a picure of this society, where the fairy-tale "xmas" characters win over the Christmas story and the meaning behind it. We live in an overly comercalised socierty, partularly over the Christmas period which can lead us to be distracted. The video ends questioning which set of Christmas cha...racters you will let win over the next festive period, and I will do the same here...
