RED
Red is a handsome and brave 7-year-old Pit Bull Terrier. Two months ago a stranger broke into Red's house and began to hurt his owner. In desperation, Red tried to save his owner by jumping into the brawl, but was shot by the intruder and paralyzed from the waist down. Unfortunately, Red's owner was also severely... injured and decided that he would no longer be able to care for him and relinquished him to Animal Care & Control. Although a dog in Red's condition typically is not given much of a chance, PAWS Chicago welcomed him into our program. Then, an incredibly generous donor purchased a new cart with wheels for him. He had not walked in two months since the break-in and now he is walking again! Could you be the one to open your heart and home to this courageous dog?
