It all began with my father bringing me to the fabled Field Museum of Natural History when I was a young boy. Family outings like this came several times a year, and a visit to the Field was always a treat.

My budding interest in Egyptology led to a wonderment and fascination with anthropology and world archaeology, as well as north american archaeology.

I achieved degrees in anthropology, history, and archaeology, as well as education. This wonderful museum brought it all home to me.

Natural history, especially zoology, is another fascination of mine. Paleontology has remained a life long interest.

I last visited the Field in March, 2007, to see the Ancient Americas exhibit. As an archaeologist I was extremely impressed.

I've been volunteering at the Field Museum for a year now, and I swear I still learn something new every single time I'm there. I can't imagine a more exciting place to spend a day - so come on in and let us show you what all the fuss is about!

Mummies? Dinosaurs? The Museum of Science and Industry is pretty cool, too, but the Field Museum was my favorite as a kid. How could it not be?

The Field is a must-see to any Chicago visitor or resident! So many birds and dinosaurs, my favorites! Their website is great too for online exhibits and highlights.

The Field is a wonderful place to volunteer! So many sweet people, and you learn something new every time you visit! This is my happy place!
