YLS networking event at Texas de Brazil restaurant: July 16

Join the United Way Young Leaders Society at a networking event at Chicago’s Texas de Brazil restaurant, 51 East Ohio St., Wednesday, July 16, 6:30—8:30 p.m. Meet and greet other YLS members as well as potential members. The event is $10 if you register online and $20 at the door. Donation includes two complimentary drinks and unlimited appetizers (business casual attire).

United Way of America announced on May 15 a sharpened focus on education, income and health as a way to help advance the common good. The national organization, of which United Way of Metropolitan Chicago is a part, cited alarming statistics and sets three goals for the country to reach by 2018. The new vision, outlined in Goals for the Common Good, will focus on education, income and health.
