Chicago Public Art Group You must take a walk through the 57th Street pedestrian underapss at Lake Shore Dirve the next time you are by the Museum of Scince and Insutry. Mirtes worked with kids from Hyde Park and Kenwwod elementary and high Schools and created a whole series of beautiful mosaics.

Chicago Public Art Group The panels on 53rd and 55th Streets are done. If you are in Hyde Park take a ride throught the underpasses at Lake Park Ave. The panels look amazing! Damon has restored most of the mural "Alewives and Mercury Fish" on either side of the 55th Street panels too. It's nice to see that mural spiffed up!

Chicago Public Art Group Please also join us Saturday 9/19 at 10:00 AM for the dedication of the mural at 47th Street and Lake Park Ave. This project led by CPAG artists John Weber and Carolyn Elaine is a beautiful tribute to Hyde Park/Kenwood and it's residents. Seven youth artist apprentices worked on the project all summer long.

Chicago Public Art Group Join us Friday morning for the opening of Jesse Owens Park. at 2032 E. 88th Street. The Opening is at 10:30am. Julia Sowles produced Olympic inspired Mosiac pieces for this park, including entry columns and a medals stand.
