On his return to Haiti, Lamothe was in great demand as a pianist and on one very special occasion, he was invited to perform in the Rex Theatre to commemorate the anniversary of the death of Frederic Chopin. For this concert, Lamothe played Chopin's famous “Polonaise in A Flat”.
