Kellerweis Hefeweizen, crafted and bottled by the Sierra Nevada Brewery, was announced March 6th 2009 and began slowly trickling out unto the world. By mid-May stacks of the beer could be seen on prominent display in area stores. It replaced the year-round Wheat Beer and is 4.8% ABV.

Sarah Jane Achene We need to find out more about the Saturday Farmers' Market Issue. Some folks want to move the market from the present location. Why? What is behind this push to move the market? The parking lot several blocks south has speed bumps and concrete parking blocks which would make it difficult and unsafe to walk around. In ...addition there is less space for farmers. I think the downtown plaze with the fountain would be a disaster; it wouldn't provide enough space, and would be difficult for farmers to offload produce. Parking for customers would also be difficult, I wish the downtown store owners could see just how much the Saturday Farmers' Market increases their business, and makes Chico a vibrant great place to live. Let's try to learn what the underlying issues are, and what is needed to resolve them in a way that preserves the high quality of our Saturday Farmers' Market.
