Our Santa Rosa Support Group meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Hope Chapel, 5680 Sonoma Highway in Santa Rosa. The support group meeting is held from 6:30-8:30PM and the entire family is welcome at all of our support group meeting. Dinner is provided free of charge and the meetings are facilitated... by a licensed counselor.
The format for our meetings is not set in stone but typically consists of a welcome period when families can greet each other and talk on a one-on-one basis with each other. Dinner is normally served next and while everyone is eating dinner we have a check-in session where individuals are asked to share how they have been since the last meeting. While the parents are checking in there is an activity, usually an art activity or a game, that is organized for the younger kids. After the check-in, the counselor will lead a discussion with the adults. The topics of the discussion are usually pretty open and are often dictated by what the parents need to discuss at that particular time.
For an up-to-date schedule of all of our upcoming events and meetings please check out the Calendar page of our website, www.hopeforcancerkids.org.
We hope that you join us at our next meeting and we look forward to meeting you and your family.

Children's Cancer Community just posted more photos of our annual Holiday Celebration of Hope. Have you seen them all yet?

Children's Cancer Community
Each year Children’s Cancer Community holds a Holiday Celebration of Hope. Our 2009 Holiday Celebration of Hope was held on Saturday, December 5th at the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Sonoma, CA. Almost 200 people attended this years’ event. Due to the generous donations of local PG&E employees every child in at...tendance received a gift from Santa Claus. The Dave Thom Band will play some of their wonderful music and we will also have a magician and clown to entertain everyone.
Children’s Cancer Community would like thank everyone who has volunteered to make this year’s event a success. A very special thank you to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Sam and Carol Morphy of The Red Grape Pizzeria, PG&E, Custom Special Event Resource, Rocket Catering and Cafe, Finish Line BBQ, Tastefull Bites Homegrown Bagels, Terri's Hot Shots, Creekside Bakery and Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Children’s Cancer Community would also like to thank Tiffany Fosnight of Adeline and Grace Photography and Megan Clouse of Megan Clouse Photography, both of whom generously donated their time and talents to Children’s Cancer Community. Thank you also to Patio Heaters R Us for keeping us warm this year.
