Children's Hospital Oakland On August 14, the 57 high school, undergraduate, graduate and medical students participating in CHORI's Summer Student Research Program showed off their research projects at their annual symposium. Celebrating its 28th year, the program pairs students with scientists and doctors who serve as enthusiastic mentors, guiding students through the design and testing of their own research studies.

To Our Friends and Supporters:
Join us for the 3rd Annual Lagoon Valley Trail Run at Lagoon Valley Regional Park in Vacaville.
You will have a unique opportunity this year to support runners and donate to pediatric care at Childrens' Hospital Oakland.
Our goal is to raise awareness and funds for the TSC Clinic and Tubero...us Sclerosis Complex (TSC), a genetic disorder. TSC affects 1 in 6,000 and causes tumor growth in major organs and associated medical complications, from mild to severe. It is a leading genetic cause of epilepsy and autism. TSC can cause mental retardation, developmental and behavioral disorders, and a multitude of associated medical conditions. There is no cure. Research is making progress, and can be applied to all the medical conditions associated with TSC.
The Jack and Julia TSC Clinic at Children’s Hospital Oakland understands that the medical and development concerns of individuals with TSC are unique and therefore require specialized care.
We walk for them!

Rubber Ducky, You Are the One!
Adopt a ducky and hope you're lucky at the most quacktacular event of the summer, our Rubber Ducky Derby!
These aren't your everyday, run-of-the-bathtub rubber duckies. These lucky ducks are part of an annual tradition to raise money for Children's Hospital Oakland. This is our 18th year ...at the races. We would love to see you there!
Come with friends and family and join us for a day of entertainment at Waterworld. There will be food, face-painting, games and a chance to cheer for your rubber ducky as it bobs its way toward prizes and glory.
You can buy tickets, adopt a duck and custom design a duck at http://www.rubberduckyderby.org/.
