China Bayles China and I have come up with a title for her 2011 mystery, which we're starting in the next few weeks: Mourning Gloria. Ah. You didn't know that the morning glory is an herb? Check out this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morning_glory

Source: en.wikipedia.org
Morning glory is a common name for over 1,000 species of flowering plants in the family Convolvulaceae, whose current taxonomy and systematics is in flux. Morning glory species belong to many genera, some of which being:

I love morning glories even though they did try to eat my garden :)

I haven't seen morning glories since I was a child growing up in California ... lovely memory of watching them open and close with my grandmother! Great new title! Had no idea it was an herb!

Kathleen Grones The name China Bayles started popping up on several friends' pages, so I became curious. Now that I have read a bit more about her, I am intrigued! I've been under a rock and buried in work, but I do love to read and live in South Texas. I am heading for the bookstore to buy the first China Bayles book. I'm excited!

An I've just ordered my first two China Bayles books and am looking forward to receiving them in the post. My mum recommended them to me and has already read several from the local library, but they don't have them in English... :-/

Shirley Love all your books. Why don't you include a map of Pecan Springs in a future issue. I think we'd all enjoy it.

Thanks, Shirley! China and I have thought about doing that--maybe instead of putting it in the book, put it online? Trouble is: new places keep showing up, changing the map's configurations. Easy to make maps for the Cottage Tales, since that's a real village, and the places are more or less fixed. Harder with a longer series, more places and always changing.--Susan
